Nusa Penida is home to the world famous Sunfish aka Mola Mola, which can be found around our waters from July through to October every year. Bali has a bona fide World War II shipwreck in Tulamben to explore, majestic Manta Rays to swim with and for the avid underwater photographer a huge array of macro diving (Frogfish, Ornate Ghost Pipe Fish, and Stonefish can regularly be found when diving Bali. If you have never tried scuba diving but would like to experience the underwater world in Bali without completing a full scuba diving certification, then the Discover Scuba Diving Program is for you. Fun Dive

Ready to see what Bali diving has to offer? Bali, “The Island of the Gods”, is certainly a divine place to get your gear on and go for a dive. The diversity of marine life and dive sites is exceptional. One day can be filled with the magnificent Oceanic Sunfish, or Mola Mola, around the waters of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, whilst the next you can be searching for pygmy seahorses in the northern area of Bali. The diversity of soft and hard corals in Bali, and Indonesia, is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Pristine coral reefs cover the slopes of the current swept Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, whilst spectacular wall diving is available in Menjangan. “Muck” diving also offers a chance to see some rare and mysterious creatures in a number of sites around Bali such as Secret Bay, PJ and Seraya Secrets. The famous USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben is one of Bali’s most popular dive locations, with its easy accessibility and abundant sea life it is easy to see why. I just finished my Open Water course with Blue Season Bali, and it was amazing! The staff were wonderful, very helpful, and cheered for me when I finished the course. Special thanks to my trainer, Eric! He guided us through the three days with great support, making sure we felt safe and were well-educated, while also making the course a lot of fun! We had a fantastic 2-day diving experience with Blue Season Bali! On the first day at the USAT Shipwreck Dive site in Tulamben, and on the second at 3 of Nusa Penida’s dive sites. A special shout-out to our incredible instructor Maria — the Mola Mola 👸🏻— with her awesome underwater gymnastics and ability to spot & sign various aquatic life. I now know what a clown triggerfish and boxfish are thanks to her! And a great appreciation to Captain Jack Sparrow for navigating us across the choppy crossing back from Nusa Penida with style, an awesome playlist, and pizzaz! Definitely recommend this place for diving, for a place with safety, detailed SOPs from instructors like Maria, and that even has a toilet onboard the speedboat (a real luxury)! See you next time 😊
