Diving in Sanur is well worth a day. Sanur's dive sites are ideal for divers who don't have the time or energy to travel to northern Bali or Nusa Penida. Sanur’s dive sites are just minutes away from the coast and our dive shop is nearby, home to a wealth of marine life.

Nusa Penida / Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Penida is one of Indonesia's top diving destination, with a wide variety of exciting dive sites suitable for divers of all levels, and is only a 45-minute boat ride from Sanur, Bali. From the famous Manta Point, where graceful manta rays soar through the water, to the coral reefs of Crystal Bay teeming with marine life, Nusa Penida's underwater world offers divers an unrivaled experience of exploration. In addition, from July to October, divers have the opportunity to encounter the rare sunfish, adding an extra layer of excitement. With exciting drift diving, macro diving opportunities and the possibility of encountering pelagic species, Nusa Penida promises unforgettable experiences for divers looking for adventure and awe-inspiring underwater experiences.

Padang Bai

Padang Bai, located in East Bali, is a small port town known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Just a few minutes by boat from the harbor, you can access a variety of dive sites, making it a convenient and attractive diving destination. Around Padang Bai, you’ll find sites such as Blue Lagoon and Jepun, which offer calm conditions, colorful coral reefs, and an abundance of tropical fish. These spots are ideal for beginners and refresher dives, and they are also popular for snorkeling. On the other hand, sites like Jetty and Secret are favorites among macro enthusiasts, where you can spot rare critters such as ornate ghost pipefish, robust ghost pipefish, and frogfish. Padang Bai is about a one-hour drive from Denpasar. It offers the warm, welcoming atmosphere of a port town along with a diverse underwater world, making it a great destination for divers of all levels—from beginners to experienced professionals.

Tulamben

These three prestigious dive sites are all located on Bali’s northeast coast, each with its own unique charm and underwater wonders.

Kubu

Kubu dive site is located a 15-minute drive outside the world-famous Tulamben dive site. This small village originally existed by extracting salt from sea water, or "sun salt". Today, the village is largely supported by diving tourism.

Amed

Diving at Amed on Bali’s beautiful north east coast is not to be missed. This small and peaceful fishing village, clustered around a single road, is a scenic two hour drive from our dive school in the south of Bali. There are a number of dive sites in the wonderful bays that make up Amed, perfect for a day dive trip and great for snorkelers too. This once sleepy fishing village has benefited from dive tourism and facilities for divers are now very good. You can enjoy a restaurant lunch on the seafront just meters from where you don your dive gear and walk into the ocean. We make two dives at Amed with plenty of time to relax and enjoy your lunch in between.

Gili Mimpang / Gili Tepekong

Off the coast of Karangasem Regency in East Bali lie Mimpang and Tepekong, two renowned dive sites celebrated for their dramatic underwater landscapes and rich marine life. Just a short boat ride from Candidasa, these sites offer an authentic taste of Bali’s wild ocean adventures. Mimpang Recognizable by three small rocky islets breaking the surface, Mimpang is home to vibrant soft corals and abundant schools of tropical fish. On days with stronger currents, divers may encounter Napoleon wrasse, sea turtles, and even reef sharks cruising by. Tepekong Famous for its sheer walls, cave-like swim-throughs, and impressive drop-offs, Tepekong offers a truly adventurous dive. On clear days, expect to see schools of trevally, barracuda, and, in the right season, manta rays or the elusive mola mola (ocean sunfish). This site is best suited for experienced divers due to potential strong currents and swells. Both sites deliver an exhilarating mix of macro and wide-angle photography opportunities, with the chance to encounter both small critters and big pelagics. They can be visited on a half-day or full-day trip from Candidasa, providing an unforgettable diving experience in Bali.
